A new senior living community containing a mix of independent and assisted living options could be coming to Cincinnati’s west side.

Legacy Living seeks approval for townhomes, senior living in Green Township,  If approved, the project would include 24 senior townhomes, 54 assisted living units and 56 memory care units for those ages 55 and older.

The site is about 26 acres total, said Tony Schantz, principal and founder of Legacy Living. Legacy Living plans to keep about 80% of the naturally wooded area that’s on the parcels, Schantz said, building to the site rather than taking a cookie-cutter approach.

Both the memory care and assisted living buildings would have a courtyard, with the former being enclosed. The assisted living courtyard would be open and connect to some walking paths around the community. There are walking paths around the whole area, Schantz said, in addition to outdoor seating areas for residents to congregate.

There would be four total dining areas at Legacy Living Green Township, including an outdoor dining patio, indoor fine dining room, café and second outdoor dining area in the assisted living courtyard. Schantz said Legacy Living is the only senior living community he knows of that serves alcohol and both lunch and dinner every day of the week.

The main facilities would also include a chapel and theater, Schantz said.
The independent-living townhomes would be to the left of the assisted and memory care living facilities. There would be 24 senior townhomes total, Schantz said, across four buildings.

Rent for the townhomes would be approximately $4,000 a month, which includes landscaping services, one on-site meal a day, scheduled transportation and an emergency response system.
