Some renters in Greater Cincinnati can now list their apartments for short-term stays on Airbnb, a first in the region thanks to a partnership between the rental company and real estate investment firm GoldOller.
Renters at The Reserve at Glenbridge now able to list their units for stays on the platform. Airbnb launched the apartment program last November, initially listing apartments across 25 markets. Now, the program is available in 37 markets, with Cincinnati one of the latest to join. Renters at The Reserve at Glenbridge now able to list their units for stays on the platform. Residents at the Reserve could earn up to $587 a month by listing their apartment while out of town up to 120 nights per year.
64% of tenants said they choose to host on Airbnb “to earn money to cover the rising cost of living,” according to an internal Airbnb survey targeting apartment hosts on the platform.
“With the cost of living continuing to be extraordinarily high, the Airbnb-friendly apartment marketplace offers renters — who are more likely to be cost-burdened — a way to earn additional income to offset living expenses through their traditional year-long rental,” said Airbnb’s Global Head of Real Estate Jesse Stein.
GoldOller is Airbnb’s partner on Airbnb-friendly apartments, and they own and operate complexes in 10 different states.
