Apartments connecting OTR, Court Street still possible

A Central Parkway-located apartment tower that has been a vision for nearly a year could still happen, though it would have some key differences from the original plan.

“It really is the gateway to the Over-the-Rhine district,” Schiff said. “I want to build something worthy of that importance.”

Schiff’s vision for the property has shifted from the original 2022 plans. Though the new plans are not finalized, the building may be shorter. A rooftop restaurant or lounge would still be in play, and Schiff said retail space on the ground floor is also likely.

The number of apartment units under the new plan would grow to about 80 to 100 from 72, with a possible parking garage. Schiff said he’s making it a priority to try and work with nearby property owners and find other solutions for nearby parking if a parking garage is not included.

The new mixed-use property could help better connect Over-the-Rhine to the Court Street area of downtown Cincinnati, which has seen tens of millions of dollars invested in recent years.
