Corporex names Christopher Haacke senior vice president of sales

Corporex Cos. announced Tuesday it has hired Christopher Haacke as the company’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.
In the role, Haacke will oversee business development, sales and leasing of Corporex’s properties. He also will oversee marketing and branding initiatives within Corporex’s family of companies, including real estate, hospitality, capital investments and sports and fitness initiatives.
Haacke was most recently president and CEO of Hawkeye Leadership LLC, which provides leadership coaching and consultation services to companies. He has almost 30 years of experience building local, regional and national agencies as a sales and marketing professionals.
Haacke joins Corporex’s team at a critical time for its local investments. Sales and leasing are well underway at Ovation, the $1 billion, 25-acre development in Newport where Corporex is the master developer. Corporex is pre-selling some of Ovation’s condos, called the Boardwalk Residences, with sales last month totaling $4 million. Corporex also is working on securing tenants to anchor the first-floor retails spaces in each residence building, focusing on restaurants, bars and “experiences.”
Corporex is a Covington-based privately held investment firm that focuses on real estate, hospital, sports and fitness and capital markets. In its nearly 60-year history, Corporex has developed hotel, office, residential and mixed-use projects in more than 22 states.
