FC Cincinnati names development team for West End mixed-use project

Chicago-based construction and design firm Marquee Development will be master developer for the mixed-use district FC Cincinnati is developing on 7.5 acres it owns just north of the stadium.

Marquee was started by the owners of the Chicago Cubs and is known for thinking like owners and creating as operators.

Rios has become known for architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, interior architecture and experiential product and graphic design. Rios’ recent projects include Microsoft Square at L.A. Live, Atlanta’s Echo Street West, Sacramento Downtown Commons, 1 Hotel West Hollywood and Spotify’s Los Angeles content campus.

The project will be built at the southwest corner of Central Parkway and Liberty Street. It will include a hotel, apartments, office space, retail, restaurants, a sports betting site with a sports bar, entertainment venues and a privately owned public green space.

FC Cincinnati continues to be the owner and master developer on the project, Munitz said. Marquee is a partner with the club in the master development. FC Cincinnati is targeting completion of the first phase in 2026.
