Former Jail welcomes small business owners and entrepreneurs
–
The former queens gate correctional facility has been given a new lease on life. It’s the third warehouse-like building for Developers Thomas Gold, and Andrew Bandy and Alek Lucke of Arrand Development.
So far, the former jail turned office/studio space, has welcomed 39 new tenants. Rent for Studios goes between $350-$975/month and incudes utilities. Once the renovation is completed, the building may hold up to 163 studios. Currently, 57 spaces have been renovated and leased.
The small business owners who have signed on include accounting and financial services, clothing design, interior design, beautician services and art studios among others.
