Irish pub led by celebrity Chef Brian Duffy sets opening at the Banks Cincinnati

Red Leprechaun Irish Pub hosted its grand opening on Oct. 6 at 20 W. Freedom Way.

Daniel Scott, who opened Fishbowl at the Banks in 2019, is spearheading Red Leprechaun, partnering with Chef Brian Duffy – known for the Spike TV series “Bar Rescue” and his appearances on Food Network’s “Beat Bobby Flay” – to create an Irish-themed menu. The concept was first announced in March with a planned summer debut.

The centerpiece of the venue is an imported bar from Malahide, Ireland – north of Dublin – that was built in 1957. Scott had the bar and stained glass shipped from Ireland to Cincinnati to be refinished for Red Leprechaun.

Red Leprechaun sits inside of the designated outdoor refreshment area (DORA) at the Banks, which allows visitors to carry alcoholic beverages in open containers between the riverfront development’s 15 bars and restaurants.
