New Marriott-branded hotel opens in Mason ahead of Western & Southern Open

Greater Cincinnati’s newest hotel is now open in Mason, bringing over 100 hotel rooms to the suburb ahead of the annual Western & Southern Open tennis tournament.

Marriott opened a dual-brand hotel at 7100 Stress Engineering Way in Mason on July 31 after beginning work on the hotel about 18 months ago. It’s the only dual-brand hotel in the region, Director of Sales Kiersten Partin said, bringing something unique to Greater Cincinnati with its variety of suite options.

“The dual property really just sets us apart from the others only because we’re going to have a lot more options for our guests compared to somebody who’s staying at just one hotel,” Partin told the Business Courier. “They’re going to have a lot more to do here and have a lot more options.”

The hotel is an all-suite property, meaning all the rooms are a bit bigger than the standard hotel room. There is a shared lobby and amenities, Partin said, and the only difference between suites is that TownePlace suites are geared more toward long-term stays. The TownePlace rooms have full kitchens with utensils and cookware.

“The best part about this location is being so close to really anything,” Partin told the Business Courier. “I think that we’ll have a really good mix of business and leisure at this location.”

A grand opening party for the new Marriott hotel will be held September 14.
