There’s a New event coming to Cincinnati this Summer

Red Bull Flugtag – in which teams ride their hand-made “aircraft” from a 22-foot-high platform into the Ohio River, competing to soar the farthest – will come to Sawyer Point Park and Yeatman’s Cove on Aug. 12.
Last year’s rendition was hosted in Milwaukee, with roughly 50,000 spectators packed on that city’s riverfront for the main event, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal, a Courier sister outlet.
Teams can register for the event until May 21, with judges expected to announce participants May 29. At that time, teams will have until August 11 to build their vehicles. For more information, click here.
During the event, judges will score each team on a variety of categories, including creativity, showmanship and distance.
