‘This puts us on the map:’ Delhi Towne Square already impacting township as construction continues

Delhi Towne Square, a $63 million, 14-acre development along Delhi Pike, was topped out in February with interior construction work now underway. The center public building is expected to be complete between May and June 2024, with the first portion turned over in March 2024.
“There was no expense spared in bringing this to reality,” Delhi Township Board Chair Mike Davis told the Business Courier. “This is for the residents, and they deserve something top-notch.”
There are two phases of Delhi Towne Square: the public building and Veridian Delhi Towne Square – 180 luxury apartments being developed by NorthPointe Group and PLK Communities.
The public building is slated to include a recreation center, cultural arts center and competition-size pool. There is also office space included in the development.
The cultural arts center and recreation center include saunas in the locker rooms, a test kitchen, warm water pool, five classrooms, a dance studio, computer lab and yoga studio, among other features.
The office space in Delhi Towne Square will be used to consolidate some of the township’s departments, including administration; parks and recreation; and economic and community development.
Additionally, work is underway on completing four preschool classrooms for Oak Hills Local School District.
The entire public building at Delhi Towne Square spans about 90,000 square feet. It’s the biggest project the township has ever undertaken, and Veridian will be the first new apartments constructed in the township in 40 years.
Township officials are looking forward to activating the public green space at Delhi Towne Square. The green space has a stage that can be used for events and includes a patio bar that will serve food and beverages. The road framing the lawn can also accommodate food trucks.
Turner Construction is working on the public building. Graybach will be the general contractor for the patio bar.
A grand opening for Delhi Towne Square will be held in June 2024. Residents will start occupying the apartments as early as February, with some units already pre-leased.
