Critics of the car-centric, suburban development that has emerged in the US since WWII.
The group will be looking at how Urban Sprawl damages the environment and how they can promote more sustainable and efficient urbanism.
With 52 different individual neighborhoods, Cincinnati offers Congress for the New Urbanism to learn from the unique challenges when it comes to the City as a whole. The meeting will focus on learning how Cincinnati has revived its downtown urban core and surrounding areas.
The event is being sponsored by Devou Good Foundation, the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile Jr. Foundation as well as the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
