Work on two of Corporex’s Boardwalk Residences condos nears completion

Ovation is Corporex’s $1 billion development at the confluence of the Ohio and Licking rivers in Newport. The Boardwalk Residences condos represent the only residential property at the development that individuals can purchase and own, with work on the apartments slated to start in the new year.
Two of the Boardwalk Residences buildings are 80% sold, and the final building is 13% sold after sales for available inventory opened in September.
The bulk of buyers are from either Ohio or Kentucky, but the condos are also attracting interest from outside the region. Of buyers, 38% are from Kentucky, and 36% are from Ohio. The remaining 26% are from a combination of California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, North Carolina and Tennessee, which Kennedy said speaks to the desirability of housing in the region.
Corporex has an “experience center” at Ovation where potential residents, tenants and businesses can get a closer look at the development. The developer is using some of the same technology found in the video game Fortnite to bring the Boardwalk Residences to life in the form of virtual 3D tours.
Two of the Boardwalk Residences will open in 2024.
