3CDC unveils partners, timeline for redevelopment of former Cincinnati Saks Fifth Avenue store

3CDC is projecting the cost of redeveloping the building will now total $35 million.

GBBN will be the project architect, and Turner Construction will be serving as the construction manager.

Timing is key for the Saks redevelopment, Senior Development Officer Clare Healy said. 3CDC is aiming to start select interior demolition on the building in January 2024 before taking official ownership of the property. Spaces for tenants would be built out summer 2024, with the first tenants beginning operations by the end of the year.

By spring 2025, 3CDC would be done with the project, according to Healy.

The redeveloped Saks building will feature Class A creative office space. 3CDC’s vision for the building includes 66,496 square feet of office space and 8,654 square feet of commercial space. The project will include demolition of the skywalk that connected Saks to the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel and both streetscape and sidewalk upgrades.
