Synchrony Financial opens West Chester hub

On April 10, Synchrony Financial (NYSE: SYF) officially opened its new office at 9025 Center Pointe Drive in West Chester Township. A ribbon cutting ceremony, featuring executives for the Connecticut-based company, was held April 19 to celebrate the space.

The 300 new jobs Synchrony plans to create will be open to anybody throughout the state of Ohio, with the ability to work remotely. Loretta Chandler, West Chester hub leader for Synchrony, previously told the Courier the jobs would be across a variety of functions and levels, including legal, finance, marketing, sales, customer service and insurance.

A spokeswoman declined to comment on how many employees will work from the hub, since it designed to serve as a flexible space for workers to come in and out of, rather than a traditional office setting. The company also does not break out how many employees it has in a given state, though Ohio is home to its largest amount of workers.
